Tech and Install
This page contains projects and modifications that I have done to the stang.

SPRING & CONTROL ARM INSTALLATION TIPS:
The Steeda springs have been installed along with the upper and lower control arms by Granatelli.  It took a total of 4 hours to do the install. Pictures haven't been uploaded but should be soon.  If you plan on installing a set of after market control arms it can be expected to take a little patience and allot of work. Getting the old ones out isn't to bad just the forward bolts on the lower arms (fig1.)  was a little hard to get to.  The easiest way to get to these is to drop the mufflers out, which I decided not to do.  The rest of the bolts should have no problem getting to. Some tools you will need are 1/2 or 3/4  inch drive size 18 mm socket for each side of the control arms. You will also need a 16 mm for the rear shocks and sway bar (fig.2) which you will want to take off first.  It's also better to have two floor jacks, one to hold the axle up and the other to place in front of the differential.  It works allot easier when you have the second jack to adjust the pinion angle when bolting in the new control arms. That's about it for the rear end. The front took a total of 45 minutes to install the steeda springs. allot of people disconnect the strut from the top side in order to let the a-arm drop down far enough to get the spring out. You can do it this way but I found it easier to disconnect the front spindle from the strut with the two large bolts (fig.3) directly behind the rotor (fig.4). This way you don't have to worry about your caster plates moving on you.  I hope some of these tips help for your install. Check back soon for more tips and tricks to mod up your stang.

SONY XPLOD CDX L600X CD PLAYER INSTALLATION:
Here are few few things you should know if you are going to install not only this cd player but any player in a mustang with the mach460 sound system.  To make this an easy, painless job you need to pick up a wiring harness to plug into your factory harness.  Circuit City has just the harness for this job and they also carry many harnesses to hook up your new player into the wiring harness then into the factory harness, no splicing or cutting of any kind. You can get both harnesses for $16.00 each, not $35.00 like crutchfield carries.  Part number for the Circuit City harness is: 80-551
